Playtech Expanding its Game Portfolio

In an effort to enhance the company’s foothold in the online gaming industry and provide its operators with advanced features, greater variability, and access to first-to-market features, Playtech has recently added five new Playtech powered casinos and released flash versions of some of its downloadable games. With the five new casino games, the number of available games on the Playtech platform now exceeds 80.

Included in the new games are three 5-reel 20-line multi-coin slot games, Casino Hold’em and a new version of blackjack. The slot games, A Night Out, Desert Treasure, and Dr. Lovemore, offer both cash prize bonus rounds and free spin bonuses. The release of the 20-line slot games is in response to the growing popularity of multi-line video slots games evident in both land-based and online casinos. Casino Hold’em is a simplified form of the ever-popular Texas Hold'Em poker game that has been tailored for casino players and the new blackjack game offers multi-hand support for up to five hands. This feature has since been added to all existing Playtech blackjack games. Playtech has also enhanced multi-player and private group modes so they can now support up to five players.

Playtech is committed to maintaining the company’s high standards and the new releases demonstrate this commitment. All of the releases include state-of-the-art graphic interfaces and superior quality sound effects. The design of Playtech’s latest release, which compliments the existing suite of games on the Playtech platform, is consistent with Playtech’s traditional approach to product development and focuses primarily on the needs and requests of Playtech casinos and their players.

The release of the new games follows the September release of Playtech's new generation platform codenamed "NG". The NG platform introduced several entirely original features such as multiple-window game play, integrated web-based content, auto-play in all slot machines with both simple and advanced modes, real-time progressive jackpot tickers that display in the casino lobby, increased operator control over game content, and advanced tools for players with greater gaming experience.

According to Playtech’s Marketing Director, Iris Toledano, "these new games diversify our platform, offering some of the most popular and cutting edge games within the industry. Feedback on the latest launch from both operators and players has been excellent, with immediate requests for more. In answer to these demands, we aim to release more new games in greater frequency in 2006".
